Radio Reading Service
North Central Sight Services provides a Radio Reading Service that allows people are visually impaired access to local news publications and entertainment through a special radio program.
Radio Reading Service began at NCSS in April 1988 and that a dedicated core of about 38 volunteers who read local newspapers as well as national publications such as the "Wall Street Journal", Christian Science Monitor" and the "New York Times" just to name a few. In addition to seven and one half hours of local programming, the rest of the schedule is filled in with programming from the In-Touch Network, a national satellite radio reading service that has public service and entertainment programming.
