Vision Rehabilitation Therapy

North Central Sight Services, Inc. offers Vision Rehabilitation Therapy: individualized instruction on independent living skills for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. The assessment and instruction can take place off-site or in the Abe Snyder Memorial Resource Center. The center is equipped with a full kitchen, a seating area for group activities, and a demonstration area for various technology aids.

Specialized instruction includes, but is not limited to:

• Kitchen safety/food preparation
  Utilizing Low Vision Aids
• Communication skills:
  Braille – Large Print – Audio – Technology
• Cleaning/home management
• Personal care and hygiene
• Lighting adaptations
• Low vision aids
